Fall is by far one of the most popular seasons. It is loved by many, but unfortunately it is not long enough. If I could, then I would make fall year round. But if I did that, then I probably wouldn't appreciate it as much as I do right now. So having it when it comes around is a real treat. Luckily, summer only has about two-and-a-half months left, and fall will quickly be looming after that.
Cooler weather.
Most fall lovers are not fans of anything above 60 degrees. So when it hits those autumn months, the brisk, cool air -- and sometimes down right cold air -- is a refreshing change of pace that is much appreciated by those who cannot bear the sweltering summer heat. I love fall because I don't sweat. If I am cold, then I can put on as many layers as I want to. In the summer, you can only cool down so much. I mean, it's not like you can take your skin off.
Halloween, of course.
A holiday loved by so many, it's no mystery that Halloween is one of my personal favorite holidays -- next to Thanksgiving (because yes, another fall holiday). Halloween is the best because you can get creative, dress however you want and spend a ghoulish night out with friends, as you embark on adventures with excitement in the air. Whether that be a huge party or a small get together with horror movies, Halloween is the perfect holiday to unleash your inner individuality.
Over-sized sweaters, scarves, beanies, boots and skinny jeans.
In other words, I can wear all of my super cute clothes that I can't wear in the summer because it's so bloody hot. Big knitted sweaters that come down to your legs, orange, maroon and brown colored ensembles, cozy beanies and combat boots -- fall is the ultimate fashion season.
Everything looks beautiful.
One of the best things about autumn is walking around your neighborhood and enjoying the simplicity that it brings -- the bright colors and the changing trees. Even the crunch of leaves underneath your feet as you walk through the leave-covered path in the woods brings so much joy. I have to wonder how fall obtains that much beauty, and it only lasts about two months.
Corn mazes galore!
What's better than getting lost in a corn husk labyrinth in October! Corn mazes are personally nostalgic for me because they bring back the carefree memories of elementary school field trips. But hey, you're never too old to get lost -- corn maze adventures are for everyone and they are a fall requirement.
Delicious autumn themed treats.
Satisfying your sweet tooth in the fall is a necessary -- and you won't be disappointed because all of these treats are delicious. Apple cider donuts for one, hot chocolate, pumpkin and apple pies, muffins (and as mentioned below, pumpkin spice lattes) and any other kind of fall themed baked good that you could possible think of. You better hurry up and get them before they run out; most of these delectable treats are limited time only for the fall.
Rain in the fall is the best.
I have come to realize that some of the best rain storms happen in the fall, when everything is grey and cloudy, and the orange and yellow leaves seem to illuminate on the drenched roads. Rain storms in the summer are heavenly, but rain in the fall is indescribable at best, and they are one of my favorites.
Pumpkin spice everything.
Get ready for fall to turn you into the ultimate basic girl. It's basically a necessity to dine on all things pumpkin spice in the fall, including the infamous pumpkin spice latte. I wish these things were year long because they are that good. Yes, I am part of the pumpkin spice latte hype, and I am not ashamed. They are the epitome of fall. One sip of Starbucks' PSL and you'll be craving your own pair of UGG boots -- but don't you worry, it's definitely worth it.
Bonfire filled nights.
Bonfires in the fall are a million times better than bonfires in the summer. For one, you can actually enjoy yourself because you actually want to be warm. In the summer, it's usually already blazing out, so sitting next to a hot fire can be unbearable. During the fall, it seems more necessary and that much more enjoyable. Let's break out the s'mores, shall we?
I have a feeling that fall of 2016 will be a memorable one. Let's just get through these last couple months of summer!
