10 Reasons Fall Is My Favorite Season

I spend most of the summer complaining about the heat, and most of the winter complaining about the cold. One season I rarely find myself complaining about is the fall. From the leaves falling and the cool crisp air, to the cider and donuts, here’s a few reasons why Fall is my favorite season.

Cider and donuts. Can I get a heck yeah?! It’s the perfect time to eat as many donuts as you want, and drink as much cider as you please and you don’t even need to feel guilty about it!

The leaves changing colors. One of my favorite parts of fall is seeing the leaves change from green to all sorts of vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges.

Haunted houses and corn mazes. I may not agree so much with the haunted houses, but something about being outside in the cool air, even just going through a corn maze reminds me just how much I love fall.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Time to celebrate all the survivors, and to remember those who have lost their fight. Always remember <3

That extra hour of sleep. Once daylight savings time hits and we all get another hour of sleep, life is just that much better.

Cuddling weather. Who doesn’t love a good Saturday posted up on the couch with your favorite blanket, a cup of tea and a movie marathon?

Tailgate season and football. Where the time to sport your favorite team and drink beer at the same time coincides.

Thanksgiving. If I had to choose one thing about fall I loved the most, it would be Thanksgiving by far. Who doesn’t love to eat copious amounts of food until they’re way too full?!

The cooler weather. It’s such a great time of the year to enjoy being outside, enjoying the cool crisp air that surrounds you.

The better variety of outfit choices. Sweaters, leggings, scarfs and boots. Need I say more?

It may not be winter, but to me, it’s the most wonderful time of the year.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
