Honestly what are you doing with your life if you aren't obsessed with THE ginger of all gingers? Actually, what have you been doing with your life for the past five years if you haven't been on the Ed Sheeran bandwagon?? Clearly, you're amounting to nothing in life and choose to dwell in sorrow, because you haven't experienced true happiness until you've heard all two (and the latest two songs of the third) of his albums. If you're one of the self-loathing souls who doesn't understand why Ed Sheeran is the greatest, most down-to-earth, talented human beings in the world, then I highly suggest you continue reading. And if you are already in your right mind and are a huge fan of Ed Sheeran already, you'll probably want to read this anyway.

1. His songs are genuinely meaningful and relatable

Not only are the lyrics beautifully written, but they also speak truth to everyone, at least to some degree. They're either romantic enough to dance to at a wedding, or thought-provoking enough to make you want to sit in a coffee shop and contemplate life/read a Hemingway novel/move to a small suburban city outside of London.

2. He's probably the only person on the planet who doesn't understand how famous/loved he really is

Honestly like who just disappears for months on end without any social media posts, any huge social scandals, and all without any expectation that people will openly and excitedly embrace his return to the living? Ed, that's who. When he finally released his latest two singles from his upcoming album, he seemed to be more shocked than anything that everyone was so in love with his new music.

3. His fandom is called the "Sheerios"

'Nuf said.

4. His live performances are simply phenomenal

Though I've personally never been to one of Ed's concerts live *sniffles*, I've seen enough videos online to get a pretty good idea of what one would be like. Unlike some performers, Ed emotionally delivers 100% during his concerts. He has incredible vocal talent and projects his voice unlike any other performer.

5. He doesn't make a big deal about his fame

Most of the time you hear about celebrities getting in way over their heads once they make it big--buying luxurious cars, multiple houses, etc., but the most Ed Sheeran has really done is bought a decent apartment is London. He's admitted before that he doesn't spend much money, and I'd say that compared to most other singers, he definitely lives a minimalistic lifestyle.

6. He's one of the most likable people ever

Not only is Ed backed by a ton of different artists, but in every interview or performance he's ever done, people tend to just instantly fall in love with him. It might be his down-to-earth personality, it might be his incredible voice and songs, it might be his ginger hair, or it could be all of the above, but either way, he is adored and admired by everyone who comes in contact with him.

7. He's added new dimensions to what it means to be a folk/pop/acoustic artist

Somewhere between a mix of folk, pop, and acoustic, Ed's sound really broadened the umbrella of indie or folk music, and especially made it more popular within the millennial generation.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
