Reasons To Cry About The Gilmore Girls Revival

Some happy tears, some not so much

Reasons To Cry About The Gilmore Girls Revival

I'm sure a lot of people are tired of hearing about the Gilmore Girls revival coming out this November. I am not one of those people, and I will unapologetically keep writing articles and talking about this monumental return until the good Lord calls me home probably.

As most everyone knows, last week Netflix released the first official trailer for the four part revival. I am not ashamed to say that I have not stopped screaming and crying internally. The amount of times I have watched it is probably unhealthy, but everyone should be proud of me because I have yet to physically cry over it.

That being said, there are a lot of things to cry about in regards to this classic show's return. I'll just name a few for you.

1. Richard's death

Edward Herrmann was an iconic character in the show. He was smart and loving, and I have no doubt that I am going to cry endlessly with the three remaining Gilmore girls as the deal with his passing.

2. ALL of Rory's ex-boyfriends are back.

Dean. Jess. Logan. They're all back, and Amy has taken special care to reveal NOTHING about their current role in Rory's life. Personally, I (happy) screamed when Jess popped up on the screen during the trailer, frowned when Dean's too-long hair flopped into view, and returned Logan's smirk with one of my own because despite how wrong he is for Rory, I love his character.

3. Luke and Lorelai are back together

The season 7 finale left us all hanging. Yes, they kissed in the middle of the street, but so do lots of people in fiction that never end up staying together. Thanks to the released photos and now the trailer we have confirmation that the perfect duo is back together again.

4. April and Christopher have returned

I don't think I have ever hated two characters in a television show as much as I do April and Christopher. All they ever managed to do was mess everything up.

5. IT'S BACK

FINALLY, after long, long years of waiting, we get to return to Stars Hollow. It's a magical place with magical snow and magical Luke's coffee. All the greats are back: Taylor, Kirk, Michel, Sookie, and so many more. How can you not cry at the happiness that this brings?

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
