Every now and then people ask me, why? What is the point of becoming a YouTuber or even trying? You know it is all luck based right?

Sure. I know these things but it doesn't mean I don't enjoy recording, and trying to make people laugh. So I put together a small list of reasons I am choosing to work towards making youtube my full-time job.

1. I enjoy making people laugh.

Although, I tend to be very awkward and have a very dark sense of humor, I love to make other people laugh or smile. It is my favorite thing to do. I live to entertain others even if it is due to my own misery. I like to see someone smile after they have had a terrible day. That is all I need to put a smile on my face or to make me feel better!

2. I like being in front of the camera.

I have always enjoyed selfies, or recording strange videos with friends. Pulling pranks or being ridiculous. This all probably stemmed from me starting to watch shows like Jackass from a younger age (14), and being in front of camera acting like a fool seemed like fun to me. Although at this point I only create vlogs or gaming videos. I am sure more than just those are bound to happen.

3. I enjoy gaming.

Gaming is one of the types of videos I enjoy doing. For one reason only, video games are one of my favorite hobbies. I have played video games since I can remember and was young. It will forever hold a special place in my heart. Gaming is very big on youtube as well, which is helpful to me cause hey, I enjoy being a gamer!

4. Editing is sorta fun.

I have began editing my videos with a new program and enjoy it a lot more now. Editing is fun to do for me, because I can get creative and be different. I love being able to see what options I have through editing to make better content. Although at times it can be frustrating, I still enjoy it.

5. I have always looked up to YouTubers.

Since early in my high school career, youtube was always well known. Many people made a living creating for youtube and I always watched tons of them. They were all funny people who did what they loved. I look up to them, as that is something you have to work very hard towards and to be able to make a living off that, is amazing.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
