Thanksgiving break—something college kids have been looking forward to since they got to school. You said bye to your best friends with “see you at Thanksgiving,” and now it is finally here. I’m sure you can find many reasons to be excited for Thanksgiving break, but here are my top 10.

1. Be able to shower without a caddy.

Plus no shower shoes either! Freedom!

2. Be able to shower without the fear that the fire alarm is going off.

3. Have the ability to get in your car to drive to dinner without having to be Uber's best customer.

4. Have good food. Bye, bye dining hall.

5. Additionally, have food when you want

You don't have to worry about going to the dining hall to realize that it is closed in order for you to go to an event with food.

6. You don't have to walk up over 100 stairs just to get to your room.

Thanks, Mount Olympus...

7. Waking up to one alarm - not your roommates.

8. Your room will finally only have one function.

It won't be the kitchen, bathroom, homework center, and sleep area all in one anymore.

9. Have a closet where both doors actually open.

Only having one side of the closet open is such a pain, but no more!

10. Take your parents money instead of your work money dwindling away.

To all college kids going home in the next week: have so much fun and cherish the moments home with your family and friends.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
