10 Reasons To Drop Everything You're Doing And Say 'Thanks' To Your College Best Friend

College brings hundreds of new experiences and new memories, and who better to have by your side through it all than your best friend? Of course, best friends back home are just as special, but there are definitely some things that only a college bestie will have to put up with. A college best friend is especially wonderful for many reasons, including these below:

1. They can't make judgments based on your past

Why? Well, because they only know what you tell them!

2. If you share the same major, you now have a study buddy

What's better than comparing wrong answers with your bestie?

3. They haven't heard all of your stories

Nothing is worse than someone saying "you told me that already." Fortunately, your pal probably hasn't heard about that one time you did that one thing. Yay!

4. They are only minutes away

Unless you aren't living in the dorms, your best friend is usually within walking distance. Perfect for when you need to get to them quickly to tell that story, right?

5. They keep you focused

Having a pal that will remind you of the importance of succeeding is a blessing because sometimes we just cannot stay motivated ourselves.

6. But they also know how to have a good time

Occasionally we all need to let loose to relieve college stress, and who better to do it with than the person who can be a best friend, wingman, and responsible adult (sometimes), all in one? Sounds like a good deal to me.

7. They always give the best advice

I've turned to my college bestie on countless occasions, simply to ask what to do. I've never met someone more real than a person who does not cater their answers based on your past, this is important!

8. They introduce you to their friends

Suddenly you have made a whole new group of pals! This can also work vice versa, of course. There is no such thing as too many friends.

9. They can teach you new things

This can be just about anything. If your friend is from a completely different state or country, you can get a taste of their culture and experiences. If your friend knows an awesome food place, that also counts. New is new!

10. They aren't with you constantly

We have all been with a person so often that we feel ourselves going crazy. The best part about having a college best friend is that they usually live farther away from us so we can't see them as often as friends from our hometown. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, right?

Your college best friend really went out on a limb by talking to a person that they probably have never seen before, so be sure to thank them for sticking around and giving you a shot. After all, you could be crazy, and maybe you are... but that's could be just another reason to thank them!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
