Throughout the year, there are many holidays. There are big ones, like Easter, and there are smaller ones, like President's Day. No matter how often, or even how, it is celebrated, holidays are holidays. Celebrating any of them is always fun, especially if they constitute a day off from school or work. There's always that one, though, that stands out. That one holiday is Christmas. Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year. Here are 12 of the thousands of reasons that is out does the other holidays.

1. The decorations

Putting up a Christmas tree, setting out the stockings and decorating the house is easily the best part of Christmas itself.

2. The movies

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than watching Christmas movies?

3. Christmas morning

The anticipation drives you crazy! It's so exciting to wake up on Christmas morning (which starts at 4 or 5 AM in my house) to see what you got this year.

4. Leaving out treats for Santa and his reindeer

I remember being in elementary school when our teachers would help us make food for the reindeer, and Christmas Eve is always fun making cookies for Santa's visit.

5. SNOW

Unless you're like me, living in the south. We only get real snow down here like every 7 years.

6. The ugly sweaters

Ugly sweater parties are cool, but I mean who doesn't love a good Christmas sweater in general?

7. It's acceptable to constantly drink hot chocolate

Watching those movies with a big ole cup of hot chocolate is very relaxing.

8. The Christmas music

However, there is such thing as "too early" to start playing it. At least wait until December, people.

9. Not having to worry about school for almost a month

A break from school is always a plus.

10. 25 Days of Christmas

Enough said.

11. The Christmas dinner feast

Because I mean who doesn't love food?

12. Jesus

Religious or not, Jesus is the origin of this magnificent holiday. Thanks for being born Baby Jesus. You created the most wonderful time of the year and watch over us as we enjoy it every year.

Maybe it's just me, but Christmas is the best time of the year. From the presents and decorations to the food and the origins of Christmas, it has a lot of exciting aspects. It most certainly is the most wonderful time of the year.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
