As an addicted fan to "Grey's Anatomy," I have binge watched every episode of every season. This show is centered around Meredith Grey, who fell in love with McDreamy and drama followed, but the main point is -- the real star of the show is Cristina Yang. Cristina is a spunky, brilliant, know-it-all, loyal friend. She is the character everyone secretly wants to be and is jealous of. There are several things that Cristina has taught us through her years on the show.

1. Dance out your problems.

She taught the viewers to stop and take a break from the world. Every now and then we all need a break. When problems, frustrations, and happiness come, just take a minute and dance it out.

2. Be brilliant but not arrogant.

Cristina showed us how to be brilliant, yet not too arrogant to her peers. She wanted to be complimented on her brain and not her looks. She was passionate and driven about her career.

3. Be loyal to your friends.

Literally Cristina was there for Meredith through a plane crash, drowning, her husband being shot, and a bomb. Cristina is loyal to her friends through anything she encounters. We should all be there for our friends no matter what is going on.

4. Be honest.

No matter how much it sucks, tell your friends how you feel. Let your friends know how you really feel and don't keep it in. Your friends would rather hear the truth than a lie. Tell the truth because in the end a lie will hurt worse.

5. Be yourself.

Don't let anyone try to make you something you are not. Be confident in who you are and be it. Be an original person rather than a copy.

6. Don't let anyone stand in your way.

Don't let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do in life. Not a boyfriend, girlfriend, family, friends, etc. should stop you from becoming what you want to become. You are the only person that can hold yourself back from success.

7. You don't have to have a man in your life to be successful.

Cristina taught us throughout her span on "Grey's Anatomy" that she never needed a man to have it all. Cristina had her friends and a career, and I think that is all she ever wanted. She did have a few relationships on the show, but her career was more important than a relationship. I learned from Cristina I don't always need someone in my life to make me happy.

8. Have some humor in life.

She showed us that life isn't fair sometimes, but you just have to laugh every once in a while. Sometimes life is going to suck, but you just have to laugh about it and move on. When the gray skies come sometimes you just have to dance in the rain and jump in a rain puddle.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
