It has come to my attention that many of my friends use iPhones, and I'm confused as to why they do so. I mean, there are at least a million reasons why almost any Android-powered device is better, but I guess I'll just list a few of the most convincing.

1. The Cost

You can easily find a good Android smartphone for anywhere from fifty dollars to 250 dollars for a cheap, economical option.

2. Notifications

With the newest version of Android, notifications have a whole new look, and more functionality. They also seamlessly integrate with any app, and can be customized if you know what you're doing.

3. Multi window

This is one of my favorite features of Android 7.0. It allows me to streamline my working experience, and it allows me to get more stuff done.

4. Material Design

In the newer versions of Android, a new design language was adopted: Material Design. This applies a very minimalist feel to the apps you use, ans creates a universal way of understanding how to use Android.

5. Custom Launchers

With a cutsom launcher you can make your home screen and app drawers yours, and always feel at ease when using your phone. iOS limits you to what Apple wants you to have and nothing else.

6. Open Source

Android has been a free and open source operating system for almost its entire existence. That's what helps make it great. It allows people who use it to fix their own problems with it, and add new features. It also makes it harder to hack.

7. Better processors

With Android phones, you have the potential for better processors, and thus better speeds. With Apple phones, you have only one choice of processor, and there are better processors out there to be found n Android phones.

8. Cameras

A lot of Android phones have vastly superior cameras to any iPhone, and some of them can even record in 4k with a high bitrate.

9. Durability

If you want a phone that won't break, Android has you covered again. The new Droid Turbo 2 is perhaps the most durable phone on the market right now, and the iPhone doesn't even come close in that regard,

10. OK Google

OK Google beats out Siri any-day. It has full access to my Google account, so I don't need to fill it in on my interests and habits. It also pulls up a list of cool stuff that I like to read and keeps me active on the internet.

11. Custom ROMs

CyanogenMod and its brethren breathe new life into Android and allow you to have custom settings, endless themes, and even more options for using your phone. These ROMs are for power-users only though, and can take a lot of expertise to set up.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
