It is a well-understood concept that some men like dating younger women and some women like dating older men. There are even men who like to date older women and women who like to date younger men, popularly known as "cougars." Whatever your preference may be, why should you allow age to get in the way of being with the love of your life?

If you are both two mature adults, then age should not be a relationship hindrance. Here are four reasons to know if your partner is someone you should be with, regardless of his/her age.

1. Levels of Maturity

Having a relationship with an older man, the one issue you don’t have to worry about is the maturity. One of the perks of dating someone older is that they are comfortable themselves, their thoughts, and opinions. Plus, females are proven to mature at a faster rate than males anyway. Therefore, it is nice to be in a relationship with somebody who will take you and the relationship serious.

What is the purpose of being in a relationship if your significant other isn't mature or unreliable?

2. The connection

In the beginning stages of dating, you are starting to the process of getting to know that person on a more intimate level. When jumping into relationships is all about having chemistry, does the relationship have any value if you cannot connect with one another? A connection with your significant other is something hard to find, and not many people have luck with that. According to Huffington Post, "When we connect with someone we love, loneliness goes away and we feel full of joy within. We yearn for this connection, yet we often find it elusive." This is one of the most important aspects of the relationship because without chemistry, your relationship can go left really quick.

3. Patience

The art of having patience is better said than actually practicing it. When it comes to relationships, let alone one with an age difference, you have to be understanding that your significant other might act or say things that you aren’t used to. Another thing that could test your patience, is that both your schedules are equally hectic so you don't get to see each other as often as you would like to.

Having patience can help the both of you grow together to understand each other better in your relationship.

4. The person

Before getting seriously involved with each other, there was something that made you attracted to the person in the first place. Can you remember what was the spark? Was it their smile, the smell of their cologne, or was it their amazing personality that got you hooked? If the person you are with makes you genuinely happy, then don’t fight it feeling, better yet enjoy it. Also, don’t let the age gap be a constant a dwelling on your relationship. There was something that made you attracted to the person for a reason.

Let your true emotions and feelings about your signicant other be known, you never know if your passing up an opportunity with your possible soulmate. With that being said, take a gamble on love and give it a try!

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
