Every Reason Why You Have Some Christina Yang in You

Whether you're seen Greys Anatomy or not. You've probably seen hundreds of articles about the infamous Cristina Yang. She's the most driven and determined individual with nothing standing in her way. When she has her eyes set one something, there no way to change it. She's caring but not afraid to give you the tough love you need sometimes. She's the best friend you have who isn't afraid to tell you truth. She's not a perfect person either, since everyone has some flaws. While growing up with Grey's Anatomy, I knew I could see myself in Cristina Yang, whether I wanted to be a doctor, a teacher, or a businesswoman. Whether you see yourself as a full Christina Yang or part of one, there's some Cristina in everyone.

She's determined, and not afraid of those who might get in her way because she knows she's still on top.

She knows what she wants, and there's no one stopping her.

But behind every brilliant person, there's someone who is driving them to who they are.

Everyone has someone supporting them along the way, and without that person they would be nothing. That person could be your mom, your best friend, and your biggest fan.

Beauty isn't everything, being brilliant is where the importance lies at the end of the day.

When your mom told you growing up, "it's not about beauty, it's about brains," she was right. As you age, you'll still have your brains.

A sense of humor is found, and appreciated.

She's full and wit, and keeps you on your toes.

And she's not afraid to dance it out.

How much better does life get when you can dance it out and celebrate?

Food is everyone's priority, and she knows where the party is.

If there's no food, there's no reason to be there. Cristina was right.

Cristina is honest, even when you don't want to hear it.

Sometimes, you have that friend who is brutally honest, well so is Cristina Yang.

And she knows when it's time to ask for help.

With brutal honesty, comes with the ability to eventually ask for help.

For your person, you're there for them and always will be.

With every Cristina Yang, there is a best friend. Without this friend, this support, this rock in her life she wouldn't be where she is. What would a Cristina be without a Meredith by her side?

Christmas Tree
History.com

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
