Many people wander this world aimlessly every day.
This can be an easy trap to fall into. Life is very complicated and it has its own way of knocking us out of our square from time to time. People may see no meaning in life and question their entire existence. Others may like what they represent in life but still feel inadequate. Everyone at one point or another questioned their purpose in life whether it came from a positive or negative thought process. This does not have to be a bad thing. You can be in the process of discovering your passion.
Passion is defined as a "strong and barely controllable emotion." We as humans all have emotion, and some show it more than others. Discovering your passion is like discovering your ultimate true self. Now, this is definitely easier said than done.
For the lucky people, they find their passion at a young age. Sometimes they do not realize they are passionate about something because it is so second nature. Unfortunately, I feel most people have no idea what they're passionate about. This may speak to why humanity comes off as miserable. The question is how do we know if we are truly passionate about something?
Self evaluation and reflection will slowly open your mind to finding your passion. To find out what you really like, you have to know yourself first. Speak to your family and friends and listen to their comments about your actions and various activities you may do. This will tell you more about yourself.
Pay attention to what you spend most of your time doing. You may deem it irrelevant but pushing that issue can reveal your true passion without you realizing it.
You also want to be open-minded about things you have never done before. Trying out news things can spark something within you. Our problem comes when we never take the time to try new things because it is out of our comfort zone.
Lastly, think back to when you were young. Many people lacked the support needed at a young age to bring their passion to life. Reflecting back on old pictures can be a way of triggering your memory to remind you of what you always loved.
Therefore, do not be a person who lacks purpose. Discover and effectively utilize your passion. It will take you and the people around you to places you never thought you could go. We must not forget that "Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." (Marianne Williamson)
