Here I sit, in seat 38F, the back of a plane, roughly 20,000 feet, and life itself feels complete. In my opinion, the window seat is always the best, watching the world go on below is one of the most satisfying feelings.
So, where am I headed? Austin, Texas. I was given the opportunity to explore a city I’ve never been to for just shy of a week and I seized the opportunity immediately. Exploring the world is number 1 on my bucket list and this is a great way to do it, so why not?
But let’s talk about flying, shall we? Everything seems so minuscule from here. People, cars, even entire cities. Then it hits me. All of these little people have their own big lives. Thousands of lives driving in tiny cars going to thousands of locations. Each and everyone thinking their own thoughts, dreaming their own dreams, dealing with their own problems. It’s all so overwhelming. Think about your own lives. Look down on your life and your dreams and your problems from above. It all seems pretty small, huh? Our own problems become so minuscule compared to the vastness of the world we live in. Think about all of the tiny people you can see from up here. Hundreds, thousands, maybe even a million or two? Can you believe that out of all those people, you had the chance to meet the group of people you love most? In a population of millions, you’ve found someone or someones who mean so much to you. And for the people you don’t know? They have their own people they love, and so on and so on. It’s so crazy everyone, literally, everyone has their own unique life of their own with different paths and different aspects. I realize that at 20,000 feet, and that’s why I love to fly.
