When it comes to spring break most people think "Yay!" Time to lay out on a beautiful beach, swim, and party by the ocean with hundreds of people around you that you don't know. Some do live it up all week on a beach even though they will most likely not remember half of it. In reality, most college students end up doing the same things they do all semester for spring break.

Most of my years in school spring break has not been very exciting to me. Honestly, I didn't really care for it. I always just looked forward to summer break. Durning my spring break I would just stay home, maybe go to my friend's houses, and possibly go to the beach for a day. Not too exciting. This past year in 2017 my spring break was the week of my birthday in March. I ended up not even going home until after half of my break was over. I literally did nothing but sleep in and go to target a lot. But, in April my boyfriend and I went to the beach easter weekend with some friends for "spring break." Even though, mine was over with. This year I will actually be doing the same thing but during my spring break which is exciting.

Anyways, most college students look forward to spring break even if they are not going anywhere exciting.

1. Sleeping In!

Most of students spring breaks are spent staying up all night and sleeping all day. I personally cannot stay up all night and sleep all day but hey if you can, congrats!

2. Spending All Day Inside

If you have nothing exciting to do you most likely will spend all day inside doing nothing. Or they are hung over and cant move. A lot of students won't see the light of day during spring break. No all day on the beach tan for you! Make sure to take your vitamins!!

3. Watching Too Much Netflix

This is a pretty obvious one. It can tag right along with staying inside all day. Grabbing some of your favorite foods and plopping down on your bed or couch to binge watch Netflix.

4. Not Knowing What Day It Is

This is literally everyone on spring break. People who are just at home, still at school, or on vacation. You will most likely not know what day it is or what time. You get so caught up in all the fun you're having or how bored you are that you just stare at the ceiling for two straight days!

5. You're Still Broke

Even if you spent the money to go on an exotic vacation you will still be hit in the face by your bank account at some point.

6. Makes You Want Summer Break To Be Here

Spring Break is really a summer break teaser. It prepares you for the fact that you won't have to worry about homework or being extremely pale anymore, that is once summer break actually gets here. UGH its so far away!

7. You Have Only A Week Of Freedom, Kinda.

You only have a short amount of time to relax and not worry about school, for some people. Some not so nice professors will give you work or a projects that you have to do over break. Once this short week is over it is back to reality.

Spring Break can be fun and unstressful but it is different for everyone. Good for you if your spring break is always fun and magical. But in reality, most of us end up doing nothing.

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?
