Real Madrid just lost El Clásico versus their arch-nemesis F.C Barcelona.

What does this mean for both sides? The title race is on.

3-2. If the game were to be described in one word, it would be Messi. Messi was the man of the match, it was like watching lightning zig-zaging through the field.

With Gareth Bale subbed out before halftime, one has to ask why Zidane thought it was a good idea to bring in a player who recently was recovering from a long injury.

From players who deserved to get sent off earlier, to "easy" goals, to a red card, and lastly a last minute goal.

El Clásico did not disappoint, could it have been better? Yes, refereeing wasn't the best, as always, but it was the best Clasico in years.

It was strange though, the game felt sloppy, for both sides. It was a game of whoever scores more and wins, and at the end Barcelona were victorious.

Credit to both goalkeepers, Ter Stegen and Keylor Navas, the wall of Germany and Costa Rica felt present in the game.

Even if Madrid lost, they have to look at one positive at least, that Asensio is a great player, and deserves to be a starter. James also deserves more chances, he's too good for the bench.

It feels that it's only Real Madrid's fault for this loss, a crucial league game where winning was the only choice, a draw wouldn't have mattered much.

Also, what killed Real Madrid is that they didn't defend, they went full attack in the last 5 minutes. Rather than being safe with a draw, knowing they had 10 men on the pitch, they sacrificed everyone on the pitch only to lose.

Tied in points in La Liga, Barcelona has crept up their way to first place, due to Real Madrid's poor attitudes in recent games (bar Champions League).

With five games to go in La Liga, away in Malaga, Depor and Granada, home versus Valencia and Sevilla, May seems like it'll be Madrid's toughest month.

Add to that, Champions League semi finals against city rivals, Atletico Madrid. It's never been easy for either team, and most likely it'll be a close match.

Los Blancos still have a game at hand, and still are favorites to win La Liga, but they can't get too comfortable. Barcelona isn't any team, they're waiting for Madrid to slip and then prowl to the trophy.

With a chance to win both Champions League and the league title, Real Madrid can only blame themselves if they lose one of the other or both. May awaits them and it won't be easy.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
