Are We Living In Real Madrid's Glory Era?

While not as glossy, they are the current Galácticos.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Kroos, Modrić, Marcelo, Ramos and others, there's little to no clubs that have the quality of these players. Only clubs that can compare are FC Barcelona and Bayern. Clubs like Chelsea, PSG and United come close, but aren't quite there yet.

Is this Real Madrid's glory era?

The truth is it's already better than the Galacticos era, which was only glorified due to being a squad made up of the best players in the world at that time. With the amount of firepower that Real Madrid had in the Galacticos era, expectations were too high and they failed to deliver success to the club.

It's quite an achievement for the club to have won the Champions League three times in the span of 4 years. The last achievement by any big club was FC Bayern's treble in the 2012/2013 season where Jupp Heynckes won the Bundesliga, Champions League and the DFB-Pokal.

Zidane started as an understudy, under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, he started after Rafa Benítez was sacked in the middle of the 2015/2016 season. The Frenchman then went on to win the Champions League versus Atletico Madrid to clinch their eleventh CL title.

Success was Zidane's middle name as he kept the same winning squad for the 2016/2017 season and managed to guide the club to win this year's Champions League versus Juventus, becoming the only team in history to win a European Cup in a consecutive year. Not only was this Real Madrid's twelfth CL title, but also the first time since 1958 that Los Blancos had won a double for the team.

It's all a mix of luck, skill and determination of the Spanish team. The word 'elite' comes to mind when mentioning these players, with all of them capable of changing the atmosphere of a game to lead the team to victory.

Without a doubt, all of the players in this Real Madrid side are capable of playing for any other team. Dare I say, even the 'bench players'. It's quite absurd knowing that skilled players like James Rodríguez and Álvaro Morata aren't played as much. Both could be on their way out of the club, and wouldn't be missed due to the overload of talent on this side.

So, are we living in Real Madrid's glory years? Well, the answer is that we don't know for how long the club will be playing at the top level that they're in now. Barcelona had a 'god like' four years under Pep Guardiola, but it only lasted four years. So the question is, for how long will they continue to win trophies or play at an elite level for?

Los Blancos under Zinedine Zidane are a 'new' club, the ex-Madrid man knows the players and keeps them hungry, on the hunt for success and glory. It's the new breed of the Galácticos, only this time the plan is coming along, it shows that Real Madrid doesn't fear anyone and they're ready to face anyone that stands in their way.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the era of Real Madrid and we're just living in it.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
