Real Life Poltergeist In Scotland

For this week’s installment of creepy events, we go out to Scotland where police have been baffled by what is being described as an apparent ‘poltergeist’ incident. This took place in a Rutherglen house last week. Police were initially called to the scene but confirm they are no longer investigating the events and they are not looking into the history of the house. Alternatively, paranormal investigators are lining up at the door for a chance to dig deeper into this mystery. The incidents that are said to have taken place make it clear to understand why the normal investigators want nothing to do with it while paranormal investigators are chomping at the bit.

Catherine Shreenan called police to her home regarding incidents that occurred on the 8th and 9th of August. She was terrified at the time she made the call. When police arrived on the scene expecting to find a rational explanation for the claims Shreenan was making, they were left in shock at the sight of oven doors opening and closing on their own, clothes flying around the room and lights that turned themselves off only to turn back on again with the lampshades turned upside down. Additionally, and possibly the weirdest occurrence of them all, a Chihuahua that had been playing in the garden when the bizarre events began was found at the top of a 7ft hedge with no logical explanation as to how it would have gotten up there without the help of someone, or something.

A source has stated, “Police attended wondering if there were mental health issues, but it turns out things were moving around. She thought if she got other people to witness it, it would stop, but it hasn’t.”

People all over the world have become intrigued by this event, but no logical explanation has been provided as of the time of this writing. As mentioned, police are no longer looking into the events or the history of the home to determine if they could shed some light on what is going on there. The Catholic Church is said to be offering care to Catherine and her teenage son who have reportedly left the home to stay with Catherine’s mother. It is also believed a priest has been summoned to the home to bless the residence.

At this point it seems the only chance at getting any viable explanation for the weird things that are happening would have to come from one of the many paranormal investigators who have offered to come in and assist the family. Local investigator, Ally Key, who claims his team specializes in spiritual release and energy clearing said, “We have helped people in this situation before. A lot of paranormal groups will be interested in this who say they want to help, but they can’t actually help. We have the equipment and are a proper investigation team.”

It has not been released if any of the paranormal investigators interested in looking into the home have been given permission to do so and no additional information has been provided regarding how this has affected the Chihuahua. If reports of a paranormal investigation are released, I will be sure to relay the findings.

College is filled with many things, and we're so often lectured to make the right decisions as we head out on our own into the college life. But sometimes it's necessary to indulge in some guilty pleasures as well as just doing things because you can. And honestly, a lot of the time it's inevitable. College is no piece of cake that's for sure, so it's okay to do some things you deep down know you shouldn't....once in a while anyways.
