People are so cool, right? Like people do some really amazing stuff, and I feel as though they never get enough credit.

No, I'm not talking about celebrities.

Come on, people. I am talking about average people. I'm talking about the people you see all the time and you're like, "Wow. You're like awesome."

I composed a list of people that truly stand out to me and inspire me every day. They deserve some credit, so if you see them, send them a wave.

Here are their stories.

1. Robin Albert

Name: Robin, Rob, grammy, mom

Jobs: Night-shift NICU nurse at Pinnacle Health, a mom of 4, a grandmom to 2 (almost 3), wife for 34 years

Talents: Designing piggy-banks, cooking holiday meals for large groups of people, cleaning a two-story home in a day, getting free shipping on online orders, arts and crafts connoisseur

Look to Them for Inspiration to: Be an A++ mother, amazing wife, super grammy or need a craft done

2. Megan Albert

Name: Megan, Megz, Meg

Jobs: Elementary School teacher, Girls on the Run coach, bank teller, Boscov's customer service, aunt, soon-to-be wife

Talents: Running marathons, front walkovers, writing grad school papers, having an obsession with cotton candy or birthday flavored anything

Look to Them for Inspiration to: learn something, train for a run, learn how to manage your time

3. Zoe Grimm

Name: Zoe, Zo

Jobs: Human Services Program trainee, wife

Talents: Low-key personal trainer, baking healthier deserts, cooking healthy meals, dealing with Coop (jk, Cooper is amazing), listening to people

Look to Them for Inspiration to: strive to better yourself (in any way), create meal ideas, have workout plans, be a good friend

4. Jim Albert

Name: James, Jim, Jimmy, pappy, dad

Jobs: Retired Pennsylvania State Police Officer, entrepreneur of Jim Albert masonry, Security Guard at Federal building, husband of 34 years, pappy to 2 (almost 3) grandsons, dad

Talents: Running 1-3 miles almost everyday, making healthy and hearty salads, being a cheerleader and coach, creating his own songs with dances

Look to Them for Inspiration to: be the world's best dad, a good man, an amazing husband, have motivation in life

5. Julie Sanders

Name: Julie, Jul, Juls, J

Jobs: Warm Line Specialist

Talents: Juggling several jobs at one time, excelling in college, multitasking in general, making people feel important, being real, singing.

Look to Them for Inspiration to: learn to be a good student, find determination in yourself, find the best in life, be a good friend.

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of.
