What A Real Brother Is

You Need A Brother

The true meaning of brotherhood is very plain and simple but when put into action can be a difference maker to an individual's life. The love your brother gives you is not always said and rightfully so the word love should not always be said. When the word "brother" is used it is not always your blood brothers which luckily for myself my blood brothers are my brothers. I do have brothers that are not related to me in any type of way but have built a strong bond that probably won't be broken like my blood brothers.

Brothers do not quit on you in your low points in life. No matter how bad you mess up they are there to support you and get you back on your feet. When you do get back on your feet they are still helping with every step you take even if you have reached a high point in life. A real brother is selfless when it comes to you, they will offer enough to you so that you can keep improving. When they do offer you help, the thought of you getting better is enough for them to not ask for any favors in return.

Your brother will be completely honest and not always agree with you. Your brother will always look out for you and if they feel that what you're doing is not right they will let you know. Your brothers may not always be right but there is always truth in what they say to you if they truly care for you. They are the ones who even if they are miles away will still check up on you.

Finally, a brother will never envy your success. They will want you to be the best you possibly can be even if it means you have more accolades at something you both did. Your brother will offer great advice and always wish the best for you no matter what. Your brothers will never compare you to another brother and in their eyes every successful thing you do is a victory for them because they most likely played a vital role in your life to get you to where you are at even if they never say it.

*Brotherhood and sisterhood go hand in hand. All of these aspects are interchangeable dependent on the type of organization.

Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
