It can be tough to remember these things. This listicle is your reminder. So long as you ask and don't "command", these things are all reasonable to ask of your friends when you're feeling down or depressed.


1. Cuddles

Some of your friends may be okay with intimate physicality, and some may not. No matter what, it is never wrong to ask . Especially if your friends know you are going through a depressive episode, they should know that they have every right to say "no", or offer an alternative. Being held can be wonderful, even if you are just a potato and the other person does all the work.


2. Words of validation.

Whether you're asking for something more superficial or something deep, your true friends, if they have the energy, can have so many incredible things to say about you.

3. Time with their pets

Some of your friends may be blessed enough to have pets even if you don't. Sometimes, you are even doing them the favor by spending time or walking their pet. Then, you have a fluffo who wants to spend time with you and you're doing a nice thing for someone else.


4. To hear their voice

Even if you just want to listen to them blab about something stupid, your friends can be there for you. Phones are amazing. Use them, even if you don't want to talk.
