So if you're reading this, that means there is some sort of sadness, anger, disappointment in your life, and I'm sorry for whatever it is you're going through. But, I want you to know that you're not alone. You do have people who get it and understand the pain your feeling. There are people who care and people who love you. Trust my words.

You can get through it, hun. I know it. Life can throw nasty, nasty curve balls, but I know that you're strong enough to get past and overcome these struggles. It seems impossible, but it's really not. You can be a fighter. You just have to believe it.

Someday you'l learn why you're going through this, you'll understand why you felt so much pain. This is all happening for a reason as you've probably heard 1,000 times, but i'm a huge believer in that. There's a reason for every single thing.

You'll be more than just "fine" or "okay."

You'll be great, fantastic, you'll feel wonderful. I promise you that. Life isn't bad forever.

"Every storm runs out of rain." The nights become mornings. You'll rise. You'll be more than just a simple "I'm fine!" You'll be an "I'm great" You will feel pure and full and real happiness.

Life is a gift. Stop searching for someone to come save you. Make your own move. Save yourself because at the end of each day you always have yourself. Don't wait for your day Make it your day. Make each and every day your day. Be brave. You can and you will do it.

I believe in you. I know you will overcome whatever is troubling you right now. You can't look back. The past is in the past. All you can keep doing is putting one foot in front of the other. The light is right around the corner so don't give up. Ever. You keep smiling because life is short.

You can do it. I know you can.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
