I've never been one for conventional thinking and I almost never follow a trend. Why? Because I know it won't last very long or that it's not that great to begin with. That's fine, though, we all have our differents tastes. I'll clear some things up.

1. I Don't Like Harry Potter

2. Anakin Skywalker is My Favorite Jedi

3. Tea is Better Than Coffee

4. Country Music is Glorious

5. Taylor Swift is Overrated

6. I Hate Chipotle

7. Yu-Gi-Oh is Better Than Pokemon

8. Tangled is a C- in My Mind

9: Pirates of the Caribbean Needs to Stop

10: I Don't Like Toy Story

It's not that Harry Potter is a bad story. In fact, I think it's very creative, the characters are fun, the music is beautiful, the set is astounding, and there was a lot of work that went into it. I just never got into the whole witches and wizards and magic spells. I've tried, but I just couldn't force myself to enjoy it, so I don't. Nothing against anyone who does, I just like other stuff.

Tangled, in my opinion, is not as good as Frozen, but I also found Rapunzel annoying as a character. Which is odd because I love Flynn Ryder, but Rapunzel was just...I don't even know how to put it, I just didn't like her. However, I fell in love with Elsa and Anna, like most people. I have no shame in saying I like Frozen more, so yea. I just didn't like Tangled.

Pirates had a satisfying conclusion in the third film and the making of the forth just made it less meaningful. It should have stayed a trilogy.

No, I've never been a fan of Toy Story, at least not the first film. I adore the sequel, but the first and third were just 'eh' to me. Not much to say; I just wasn't entertained by them. Jessie is my favorite character and her personality and backstory were just very refreshing to me as I watched the second movie. Can't say the same for the first or third.

Taylor Swift is just another pop singer who is being over-glorified. I'll just leave it at that.

Chipotle makes me sick, as in gagging up my meal sick, so I have a good reason for this one. I'll eat it on occasion if I have to, but you will never hear me say "Let's go to Chipotle."

Anakin Skywalker is a whiny brat with no self-control and all the angst in the world, but I just love him! My love for him sprang from watching "The Clone Wars", which is where we say him be less of a whiny brat and more of a Jedi. Besides, he becomes rather sassy i the Clone Wars and I love sass.

I grew up with a country family who listened to Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, so on and so forth. I love country music. Most people say it's only about sex, alcohol, tractors, or being lonely. Have you listened to rap music recently?

I prefer tea...I don't know what more to say. I love coffee, but if good tea is available and I don't need a little caffeine fix, I'll take the tea please. It's pompous water, but I love it!

Yu-Gi-Oh is better. End of discussion.

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
