Reaction: "Photoshop Has Gone Too Far"

This is my reaction to "Photoshop Has Gone Too Far" by College Humor. When I stumbled upon this online, I couldn't wait to react to it for you guys. My eagerness to watch this video was derived from the central idea of showing Photoshop in reverse. This lead to my assumption that this video was going to be focusing on the twisted ways of Photoshop. Instead, I encountered something quite different.

In the introduction of the video, we are shown a beautiful model who is in the process of being de-Photoshopped. Her body was dis-altered in a reverse pattern. Within a matter of seconds, she looked unrecognizable. Her legs, stomach and arms were blown out of proportion. Yet, she was still beautiful in her own way. As the un-Photoshop process continued, her skin started to morph into a patchy color. This shocked me because it showed me a different layer to the video. It was incredible to see how much Photoshop could morph a person into an unrecognizable figure. Not to mention, the emotion it sends to the public since the model seems to have an active skin condition that was affecting her skin.

At the mid-point mark, I was really curious since I couldn't imagine what else they could possibly alter. That's when the pepperoni bra popped out and the cheesy skin. I couldn't believe I sat through two minutes of this video thinking that it was going to hold a profound meaning.

Well, guess what? She was a pizza! Or should I properly say she was Photoshopped into a pizza. I was flabbergasted. Going into this video I had extremely high expectations. I thought I was going to leave this video with an impactful message to my life ,but the only thing I learn was that you can Photoshop anything to look like anything you want. Yep! I hope you guys enjoy this video.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
