McDonald's announced that starting in 2016, they will be adding mozzarella sticks to their menu. Luckily, I live in an area where we get to test everything first before it goes out on the market (we went through the same thing with McDonalds breakfast and the Doritos Locos Tacos). So we have been able to get mozzarella sticks since the beginning of December. I decided to venture out and try them for my own. Here was my process:
1. I traveled to the local McDonalds in Bowling Green, on Wooster Street.
A hoppin' place where I've had countless memories as a Bowling Green student.
2. I went through the drive-thru and ordered two of the mozzarella sticks.
Because when I saw that they only come with three per box, I was slightly upset (but they only cost $1.19 per box so I wasn't too mad).
3. I paid and was given my mozzarella sticks.
My excitement was building up minute by minute as I placed the McDonalds bag in the seat next to me.
4. I sat down and started eating said mozzarella sticks.
Here it was, the moment of truth.
5. Basically, I fell in love.
Were they the BEST mozzarella sticks in the world? No. But were they good for their price? YES. There isn't anything about them that I personally don't like, although I can see where people can not like them (but I have consumed some every day since I first ordered them so they must be doing something right).
In Summary:
When are mozzarella sticks ever bad? Unless you burn them completely, there's not much you can ruin with a mozzarella stick. When they come in your town and you are feeling adventurous, go for it. If not, it's okay. No one will judge you. As for me, #MOZZSTICKS4LYFE.
(I promise they are mozzarella sticks in there and not chicken nuggets.)
