A Ranking Of The Top Five Sharks

Sharks are awesome creatures. They're totally badass.

Here are the list of the top five shark species based on facts and overall badassery in honor of the venerable Shark Week. Happy swimming!

5. Hammerhead Shark

These guys made it on the list because they're just so weird looking. But really they're pretty cool because their weird head and eyes make them the best shark for being able to scan the ocean for food. Apparently, the love to eat stingrays, yes, those floppy things that killed Steve Irwin, AND they rarely attack people! Which is always a plus.

4. Longnose Sawshark

If you give love to the Hammerhead, you have to give love to these guys. They're so underrated, but how can you not love them. Their nose looks like a saw!

3. Thresher Shark

These bad boys are definitely a less popular, but unique, species of shark in terms of how they hunt. Compared to every other species of shark out there, they use their tails to whip their prey, often stunning them with the force or trapping them in a whirlpool before devouring them.

2. Whale Shark

These sharks are amazing. They're gigantic, beautiful, graceful, and they're literally the largest fish in the sea! They can weigh up to 20,000 pounds and filter feed on plankton and live in tropical or warm places. If you ever have the opportunity to dive with them, take one for a ride! They don't bite and really just wanna be your friend.

1. The Megladon

While this shark isn't even around anymore, it's definitely the most badass shark to have ever lived. It was like a Great White on steroids. They're believed to have grown to 60 feet and weighed around 100 tons! It's size is so massive, with teeth over 7 inches long, that it's said that their main food source was whole whales. Now aren't you glad these beasts have gone extinct?

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
