A Definitive Ranking Of Rollercoasters At Cedar Point
WowK

Cedar Point is an amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. Home to 17 rollercoasters and one waterpark off the coast of Lake Erie, this is a go-to place during the summer. Cedar Point holds many records for their rollercoasters and is most likely on the bucket list of many rollercoaster fanatics. I have ridden every coaster in the park, so here is my personal ranking of the rides from worst to best. (I will be ranking 14 roller coasters, since three of the 17 are rides for children.) Head to Cedar Point this summer and experience the thrill of these rollercoasters!

14. The Blue Streak

The Blue Streak is one of the oldest roller coasters at Cedar Point. It's one of the last wooden coasters in the park. This ride hurts. It's super rough and not kind to your body. It does normally have a short wait, so I recommend riding front row if you do decide to ride.

13. Corkscrew

This one is a classic, but extremely short. Not much of a thrill.

12. Cedar Creek Mine Ride

There's always a mine ride at every amusement park. This one is very ragged and slow. You think there's going to be a huge drop, but it never comes.

11. Wicked Twister

I'm sorry, but this ride scares the crap out of me. I always feel like I'm going to die while riding it. It definitely gives you an adrenaline rush from the speech and back-and-forth of the ride. Definitely one for thrills.

10. Iron Dragon

This is a good rollercoaster to ride after you just ate. It has some decent speed, but no insane drops or turns. Also, this is a good coaster for first timers.

9. Rougarou

Expect a headache when you're done riding this one. I personally liked it better as the Mantis, but this is overall very fun and thrilling. It's packed with high speeds, loops, drops, and tight turns and twists.

8. Magnum XL-200

I really like this one, but the safety bar always crushes my thighs, making it a little uncomfortable. If you like multiple hills in a row and the feeling of losing your stomach, this is the perfect coaster for you.

7. Maverick

This rough coaster, in particular, takes you left, right, up, down and upside-down in a matter of seconds. The line for this ride is always long and I don't think it's worth the wait. You should definitely ride this at least once though.

6. Valravn

The best part of this new roller coaster is the first drop. You are suspended at the top of the hill, looking down at the bottom for a few seconds before you go down the hill. This is a very thrilling, smooth ride.

5. Gemini

This is one of my favorites. Another wooden roller coaster, but less rough than the Blue Streak. This ride is quite fast with lots of drops and turns. The best part is there are two tracks for different colors of carts: blue and red. They race beside each other all the way to the end of the track. This one is pretty fun!

4. Top Thrill Dragster

If you love thrills and high speed, this coaster is for you. You basically go straight up and straight down. Always a long wait, but kind of worth it.

3. Gatekeeper

This ride feels like you're flying. I absolutely love it. It's newer and the ride takes you over the front gates, hence the name. It has high speeds and lots of loops.

2. Raptor

This is definitely one of my favorite rides. It's one of the most fun rides there and I could ride it all day and never get bored of it. If you love speed, loops, and twists, this ride is perfect.

1. Millennium Force

This ride is by far the most popular ride at Cedar Point. It's such a smooth ride with two huge hills. You hit top speed while riding this, but it's still such a gentle ride. I recommend this ride to anyone, even if you're scare of roller coasters. It's not as scary as it looks.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
