So, this week, I got to spend two days at Disney World. The first day was at Hollywood Studios, while the second day was at Epcot. As someone who has been to Disney World a bunch of times, I think I'm qualified to rank the parks within Walt Disney World (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom). So, here goes.
1. Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is the best park, hands down. Not only is it classic (it was the first park), it's fun! There's something for everyone -- good treats, a nice mix of fast and not so fast rides, and plenty of great food. Plus, with all the different areas within the park, you'll never get bored, and there's always something new to explore. This trip was the first time I went to Disney World and did not go to Magic Kingdom.
2. Epcot
Epcot is great. It's the second park to open in Disney World and was the last park that Walt Disney helped envision. There's not a ton of rides; however you can go around the World Showcase, and there's a ton of food. You can hop from France to the US to Germany (which I did). Random Tip: the caramel corn at Germany is really good. There are festivals all the time–Food and Wine, Flower and Garden, Festival of the Arts–none of which I've been to, but I've heard on good authority from park employees (AKA my sister and her friends) that it's amazing. Also: Spaceship Earth (the giant golfball) is a great ride.
3. Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Studios is entertaining, but if you've been there once, you probably do not need to go back until there's something new (AKA until Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land -- 2018 and 2019, respectively). There are a few enjoyable rides, and you can meet Pixar characters, so that's fun. While it's fun to see a bit of movie magic, the park itself is a bit too eclectic for me.
4. Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is okay. The Jungle Cruise is cool. I've been there maybe once, and I do not remember much (which should tell you how excited I was). While the park is unique, frankly, I'd rather pay a lot less and go to the zoo. It's more of a go-there-just-to-go-there situation in my opinion.
