13 Boston University Dorms Ranked From Best To Worst

Boston University has about 18,000 undergraduates, so naturally, there needs to be plenty of housing, not all of which is great. Here's a ranking of BU’s housing, from best to worst.

1. StuVi 1.

Well, duh. StuVi1 is not only beautiful, but it is also conveniently located just a few hundred feet off Comm Ave, not to mention the view of the Charles. It has the Buick Street market just downstairs, with amazing food, and it has kitchens. Who wouldn’t want to live in an apartment building that they would never be able to afford after college?!

2. StuVi 2.

As the younger brother of StuVi 1, StuVi 2 stands much taller and more magnificent. It is new, clean and big. It is perfect for living with your close friends. The lobby resembles that of a hotel and well, its just StuVi. It just cannot be number one because of no kitchens.

3. West Campus (Claflin, Sleeper, Rich).

West is best. Enough said.

4. 1019.

Many refer to 1019 as a BU sophomore rite of passage. It is in the same condition as the West Campus triplets, but it is a step up, due to the fact that it is a suite style. You get a less cramped feel because there is a sitting room, and you only have to share a bathroom with five other people instead of forty. It is smaller, so there is more of a community feel. Plus, it’s in West.

5. Kilachand.

The super smart kids get the huge rooms. This place is not necessarily super, super nice -- no nicer than the next -- but the room space is huge, and the location is beautiful. Plus, it is all the super smart kids in one place and they get grass they can sit on right outside.

6. 575 Commonwealth Ave.

Despite the fact that this is not the newest, prettiest, or cleanest dorm, it has air conditioning. What?!

7. Bay State Road.

You really cannot beat the beauty of this road. This is the road that made me fall in love with BU. No matter the season, it is alway gorgeous, and it is located near the best dining hall on campus.

8. East Campus Brownstones.

Super close to Newbury, so this is obviously a great place. Plus, living in a brownstone is so amazing.

9. Myles Standish.

This dorm is really only good for a bus stop. It’s located next to UBurger and right in Kenmore, but you have to walk for a dining hall.

10. Danielson.

Those who even know what this building is, or where it is, know that it is a beautiful on the outside and conveniently located, sandwiched between MIT frat houses. But, it is actually in the middle of nowhere and no dining hall around.

11. South Campus Brownstones.

South Campus is very underrated in beauty and how nice the housing is. However, it is so far-removed and set back that most of the time, I even forget it’s there.

12. Warren Towers.

With these, you really can’t beat the location. Everything is right there, you are right in the heart of the campus, and you don’t ever have to go outside for a dining hall. But, that is seriously it. It looks like, was designed by, and is, a prison.

13. The Towers.

Ew, It’s the Towers. Enough said.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
