I Ranked the Harry Potter Movies because Why Not

This was one of the hardest things I've done

I Ranked the Harry Potter Movies because Why Not

It's been a big weekend for Harry Potter. It was his birthday and the release of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the final (!!) story in the Harry Potter franchise. And just because I couldn't jet off to London and see the play for myself, although I did run out to Target and buy the book, doesn't mean I didn't spend the weekend celebrating the Boy Who Lived. In honor, of this weekend, ABC Family Freeform, blessed us with yet another Harry Potter weekend. So after marathoning all the movies, I got to thinking about which one was actually the best. After a lot of debating, and changing, I did the hardest thing ever and actually ranked the movies (I want to make it clear that this is the movies, because the books aren't the same thing, obviously).

8. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

I think I put this one last because I hate Umbridge so much. Sorry, Order of the Phoenix, but one movie had to be last.

7. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

This is really hard, but I just put this one here because my sister always changes the channel when it's on. It's nothing personal.

6. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Again, this is really hard, but it's sixth in the series, so it just fits.

5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The more I see this one, the higher on the list it gets. It would have been higher if it wasn't for the fact that seeing Voldemort for the first time as a child traumatized me.

4. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

I just really love this one.

3. & 2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2

You cant really do one of these without the other. Even though I didn't want the series to end, they did it in a way that made it okay, you know?

1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

I love this one because it's bright and happy. He's just a lil boy that gets to go to Hogwarts, do magic, play Quidditch, and makes friends. And nobody dies! (okay, Professor Quirrel does, but he kinda had it coming). I think this one's the best one because it's just the beginning of everything.

So there you have it, my ranking of all eight Harry Potter movies. This task was nearly impossible. So this list isn't set in (Socerer's) stone, just ask me after the next Harry Potter weekend and I'll probably say that Prisoner of Azkaban deserved better.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
