Ah, classic AHS. The show people feel weird about loving. American Horror Story, a TV series on FX, has been on the air for 6 seasons now. Each season has it's different creepy plots and gory twists and it's own unique scare factor. All seasons have something to offer, but some definitely stand out from the others.
6. Hotel
I don't think anyone would disagree with me. The concept was very creative and I appreciated the inspiration the creators took from the Black Dahlia murder case of 1947, but the mark was so missed. The whole vampire thing was very eh. I didn't even finish watching the season on TV, I just waited till it got on Netflix. To be honest, the season probably would have been significantly better if Lady Gaga didn't play such a big role. Don't get offended Little Monsters!
5. Freak Show
They killed off the scariest character (Twisty the Clown) the fourth episode! What I loved about this season was the more minor characters like Ma Petite and Legless Suzy. What I hated about this season though was how they had the musical numbers. Having Jessica Lange sing Lana Del Rey and David Bowie just wasn't entertaining to me. Also the ending was so anticlimactic. But I still get sad whenever I think about Meep dying in jail. RIP Meep, gone but never forgotten.
4. Asylum
I'm a total sucker for psych ward stuff. I actually really loved this season but it just got too convoluted. The polygamous relationships and alien stuff just felt so random. And the Nazi part? It didn't fit in. That being said I really liked the basis and how it all played out, and I liked the aspect of demon possession. And unlike Freak Show, I loved the one musical scene Jessica Lange had where she sang 'The Name Game' during a hallucination. Iconic.
3) Murder House
The season that started the movement. I think the reason that this season was so shocking and popular is because there has never been anything similar on TV before AHS. The cast was so perfectly chosen for this season and the characters were just so well written. The demented ghost baby Thaddeus was creepy AF. America's hearts simultaneously shattered when Adelaide got hit by a car while being a 'pretty girl' for Halloween. And who is junglejim4322@yahoo.com?!

I frickin' love Coven. A show about a bunch of bad witches slaying the game in New Orleans? Yes please! The one pit fall of this season was that it just wasn't scary enough. There were very few parts that thoroughly disturbed me. History buffs could appreciate the incorporation of Marie Laevau and Madame LaLaurie, and everyone else could appreciate the fact that Stevie Nicks made a guest appearance. Who will be the next Supreme Witch?
1. Roanoke
This season is by far the most unique. And possibly the most terrifying. Every episode of this season made me practically pee my pants! This season is loaded with a bunch of different plot aspects, but they just all work so well together. Haunted houses, folk lore, reality TV, and cannibals! What else could you ask for? I mean the season isn't even technically over but unless the ending totally ruins the entire season then the ranking still stands.
If you are a die hard AHS fan too, I'm sure you have your own ranking but we can agree to disagree. Long live AHS!
