Everyone thinks of Ramen noodles as being this disgusting noodle block college kids have to eat because they can't afford anything else. But that's not true. They are a quality food and some college students eat them because they want to, not because they have to. I am about to school you on just a few reasons why we need to get rid of the stigma around Ramen noodles.

1. You can save meal swipes

I didn't go to the dining hall for lunch today because I want to eat Ramen noodles. Because they are warm and delicious. If I had gone to the dining hall I probably would have gotten a salad. It might have been healthier, but now if I feel like eating breakfast sometime this week, I will have an extra meal swipe to do so. And I didn't miss out on anything. Because the Ramen noodles I just ate were really good.

2. You won't die from eating them

Ramen isn't the worst thing for you. Unless you eat super healthy all of the time, you can't really talk about how unhealthy it is. I'm not saying it's healthy, I'm just saying it's not that bad.

3. You save time

They are so simple to make. I can make Ramen noodles in minutes. The convenience of microwaving a block of noodles is really great, but so many people don't understand that. Save some time and eat Ramen noodles sometimes. You can't complain about not having enough time in the day when you spent a long time making a fancy lunch.

4. You can eat them

Nobody is too good for Ramen noodles. You can go ahead and spend lots of money buying regular food you have to make yourself, or you could save some money and eat Ramen every once in a while.

5. They taste really good

I wouldn't bother eating Ramen if it tasted bad. It's not like that is the only option when you need to save money. But it tastes really good, so I consider it a treat.

So if you want to save time, meal swipes, money, and eat something that tastes really good, then you should eat Ramen noodles. You will enjoy them and feel so much better about other aspects of your life, like your bank account and being able to spend more time doing the things you enjoy.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
