Whether you are from the area or not, Raleigh is known for having really great restaurants. Raleigh honestly has a mix of everything. From good down-home Southern cooking to cultural influences of different nationalities, Raleigh has something for everyone.
For me, and I know that I do not speak alone, I have always enjoyed brunch. There is something about Sunday brunch that I just love. One can dress up or down for brunch. Either way I feel that brunch is a meal that is fully satisfying as it will carry you through the day. Whether you're coming from church or your bed after a night out, brunch will leave you feeling full and fantasizing about next Sunday's brunch spot.
Below I have listed some of the best brunch spots in Raleigh, both casual and a little nicer (should you so desire to throw on something a little more elegant).
1. Finch's
First on the list is Finch's, located on W Peace St. near Capital Blvd. Truly a hole in the wall, but I highly recommend them for their amazing breakfast. Try their chocolate chip pancakes!
2. Christie's
Similar to Finch's, however, located in Cary, if you are near the area definitely stop in, very yummy breakfast menu!
3. Tupelo Honey
I had always been for dinner since it's located in such close proximity to where I live, however, brunch here is great! Try their spin on biscuits and gravy!
4. Farmer's Market
I've always loved the Farmer's Market since I was a little girl. Your typical true down-home southern style breakfast. One look at those biscuits they always bring out and my mouth waters.
5. Another Broken Egg Café
Located in the Midtown section of North Hills, if you haven't been already you need to. Their cinnamon rolls and mimosas are actually out of this world.
6. Flying Biscuit
Located in Cameron Village so close to NC State's main campus. This quirky breakfast spot has really great omelets.
7. Beasley's
The famous Beasley's chicken and waffles! Honestly that just sounds appetizing after a night out, highly recommend!
8. Big Ed's
Downtown Moore Square, Big Ed's is a must go to. You may waddle out after your meal, but the super delicious food and large portions is what brings us back to Big Ed's after all!
9. Black Cat Café
Located in North Hills right near Pure Barre. Definitely recommend after a workout! Having family from the islands I've acquired a taste for huevos rancheros and they serve them up the best!
10. Coquette
Again in North Hills this amazing French restaurant has great sandwiches and eggs benedict!
