Radio Disney Releases A Country Station

Do you like to listen to country artists like Hunter Hayes, Maddie and Tae, Miranda Lambert, and Luke Bryan? Well then, you are in for a treat! Starting Nov. 5, Radio Disney now has Radio Disney Country. This is a new station that Radio Disney is making for young country listeners and for families. This station could not have been in place without the ABC Country Music Association Awards. This station debuted during Wednesday night's Academy of Country Music Awards. This station plans to launch into the competitive country radio area to get airtime to play everything.

The radio station will have a 60-40 split. Sixty percent of the music will be known artists like Hunter Hayes, Taylor Swift, Florida Georgia Line, and Luke Bryan; while the other 40 percent will spotlight up-and-coming young artists, from Maddie & Tae to RaeLynn and Dan + Shay. There will also be singers that teens might be familiar with from TV, like Cassadee Pope from "The Voice" and Scotty McCreery of "American Idol." With that said, the station will also be playing Taylor Swift music, even if it is from years ago when she was still a country artist. It will not be a surprise if there is are songs that are from other artists, but feature country artists.

Families will not have to worry about Radio Disney Country having any bad things like sexual or alcohol situations. Radio Disney producers will be inspecting the song selections to make sure that they are following the same aspects as they do for the Radio Disney station. While listening to the station on launch day, there is indeed a mix of older and newer country songs. One of the great benefits of the station is that playing songs that would normally not be heard on a regular station from artists who have trouble getting heard will be played. ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" Lucy Hale will be heard from this station, as she is not heard on a regular country station.

Some of the songs that were played during the launch were as follows:

“Little Bit of You” - Chase Bryant
“Lie a Little Better” - Lucy Hale
“Think Of You” - Chris Young feat. Cassadee Pope
“Lose My Mind” - Brett Eldredge
“Top of the World” - Tim McGraw
“Still Fallin’” - Hunter Hayes
“Fly” - Maddie & Tae
“Crash and Burn” - Thomas Rhett
“Remembering” - Ashley Campbell
“Can’t Stop Smiling” - Love & Theft
“Better Do It” - RaeLynn
“Something Better” - Audien ft. Lady Antebellum
“Stay a Little Longer” - Brothers Osborne
“I Got the Boy” - Jana Kramer
“Yeah Boy” - Kelsea Ballerini
“Tim McGraw” - Taylor Swift
“Save it For a Rainy Day” - Kenny Chesney
“Southern Belle” - Scotty McCreery
“Break Up in a Small Town” - Sam Hunt

As you can tell, they play a lot of variety. If you would like to start listening to Radio Disney Country, download the Radio Disney app from the iTunes or Google Play Store to hear the station before it launches to a station on local radio. You can also listen on the Slacker app! This is a wonderful treat for all you country music fans out there like me!

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Her sister was a member, her mom was a member, all of her aunts were members, and her grandma was a member. She has been waiting her whole life to wear these letters and cried hysterically on bid day. Although she can act entitled at times, you can bet she is one of the most enthusiastic sisters.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
