There are many times that "Gilmore Girls" pulled at our heart strings. Here are just a few.

1. That time Lorelai asks Emily and Richard for money for Chilton.

2. When Babette's cat Cinnamon passes away.

3. When Dean gives Rory the bracelet.

4. When Max breaks up with Lorelai.

5. When Dean tells Rory he loves her.

6. Then Dean breaks up with Rory because she doesn't say it back. And after a few days, she decides to wallow.

7. And then Lorelai comforts her.

8. When Max proposes to Lorelai with 1,000 yellow daises.

9. Then Rory finally tells Dean she loves him. And calls him an idiot.

10. When Loralei decides to call off the wedding and go on a road trip.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

For many undergraduates across the nation, the home stretch has begun. Only one more semester remains in our undergraduate career. Oh, the places we will go! For the majority of college seniors, this is simultaneously the best and worst year out of the past four and here’s why.

1. The classes you are taking are actually difficult.

A schedule full of easy pottery throwing and film courses is merely a myth on the average campus. With all of those prerequisites for the upper-level courses and the never-ending battle you fight each year during registration for limited class seats, senior year brings with it the ability to register for the final courses you need to fulfill your major. Yet, these are not the easy entry level courses. These are the comprehensive, end of major, capstone courses designed to apply the knowledge from all your previous courses, usually in the form of an extensive research paper or engaged learning project. The upside is you actually probably really enjoy these classes but alas there is no room for slackers here.
