Target — it's a place that we visit weekly.
It's a place that we all can't live without. It's the place where organized shopping lists and budgets go to die. You may walk in saying, "I only need these five items", but you will walk out with a solid 20 items instead.
If there is one person who embodies almost everyone in Target, it is none other than the fabulous Rachel Green from "FRIENDS." Rachel has a full blown shopping addiction, just like we all have a full blown Target addiction.
Target is the place that just has everything under the sun that we "need" and while it's an unhealthy addiction, let's face it, you can't stop.
1. When you realize that your pay check came in or your family sent you some spending money and you're ready to go blow it at Target.
There's no better feeling in the whole world, really.
2. When you walk through the magical entrance and go to get your cart, even though you told yourself that you wouldn't get a cart.
The greeters wave at you and you wave back. If you are a true Target addict, you're on first name basis with some of them.
3. When you walk up to the dollar aisle and buy the most unnecessary things, but you want them so it's fine.
You're already off task and buying things that aren't on the list, but whatever. There's just too many cute little things and they are only $1.
4. When you walk around the clothing section and find a super cute sundress or any other item you do not need.
*Has three million Target sundresses already, but what's one more?*
5. When you walk around the corner and see that Chip and Joanna Gaines have their home collection at Target.
You have to buy stuff from the line, it is Chip and Joanna Gaines that we are talking about. So you buy a few decor items that you know you will never use and have no room for.
6. You buy some snacks.
You need energy for shopping, after all.
7. You then buy toiletries that you know you don't need, but they are on sale.
Who doesn't buy Advil in bulk? It's on sale, so it's justified.
8. Then you start the walk to the register and the guilt hits you.
You're just thinking, "What have I done?"
9. "The total is WHAT?"
I should have totally avoided the dollar aisle, but what's done is done.
10. You may leave feeling some shame, but it's OK because you're a Target addict and you have come to terms with your addiction.
You come to the conclusion that you should stick to the list and only the list, but deep down you know that won't ever happen.
