1. "No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up and never give up."

This quote can apply to a wide range of tasks. Whether you are struggling to keep working towards your goals or simply get out of bed and go to class, do it. No matter how or what you are feeling, it is important that you do not lose sight of your dreams and you do not give up.

2. "Collect moments not things."

There is constant pressure to have "things" in today's society. The most important and memorable things you can collect in life are moments. Stop focusing on getting the newest phone or the coolest pair of shoes. Put a little more energy into being in the moment and creating memories with beloved friends and family members.

3. "It is not necessary to react to everything you notice."

You will not agree with everyone or everything you come across in life, and that is okay. Many times people with ill intentions do things to try to get a reaction from you; this reaction is not necessary. Keeping thoughts to yourself and stepping back without reaction can be for the best in most situations.

4. "When you have a bad day, a really bad day, try and treat the world better than it treated you."

Bad days are bound to happen. Rather than wasting time being miserable, channel your energy into trying to make someone else's day better than yours. While we all go through a lot and face many hardships in life, it is important that we do not take it out on one another. Putting a smile on someone else's face may even put a smile on yours.

5. "A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor."

While things get complicated, this is a nice quote to keep in mind. There is a method to the madness they call "college". We are here to receive an education to make us more equipped for the world. Things will certainly get difficult, things will not be easy, but this will prepare us all the more.

6. "Some days you eat salads and go to the gym, some days you eat cupcakes and refuse to put on pants. Its called balance."

Okay, this quote may be funny but it is also very true. It is important to keep in mind that at the end of the day we are still human. Some days we can be at the top of our game, but other days we deserve a break to relax and that is okay. This balance is essential to managing stress and staying sane.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
