Someone asked me the other day who my most influential person was, and where most people would retort a sibling or a parent, I couldn't help but think that the Kid President was my most influential person. Here is why. This is a collection of my favorite quotes from Kid President and where they help me most in my life.

1. The most important thing to remember is that you have purpose and you're a wonderful contribution to this world. Don't forget that!

2. You never know what kind of day others are having so it is very important to remember that not everyone is having the same day as you. But the least you can do for everyone is be supportive and make everyone feel like they mean something in this world.

3. Try it out. It makes a world of difference and it can honestly make someone's day!

4. Winter blues and depression is a real thing and not everyone can make it out of bed or even out of their rooms. It happens, be supportive! It will make someone's day!

5. But here is a good reason to get out bed everyday. If you're not doing anything all day, what have you achieved? If you're paying to go to college then at least take advantage of the opportunity you were given, not everyone can make it to college!

6. Before sparking up a disagreement or a fight with someone remember this quote. You can disagree with someone, that's normal. But the most important thing to remember is at the end of the day we are all humans, and we need to respect one another.

7. Why dwell on insignificant factors in life, when rather you can be happy that those opportunities have been presented to you!

8. There is always kindness to be appreciated about another, and if you can't think of something nice to say.. THINK HARDER!

9. Don't follow the status quo, or because "everyone is doing it." You are an individual, be your own party and do what makes you happy!

10. For when you can't really find something good to come out of this day, just remember that not all is bad and you're a tough cookie!

11. Love will always win in the battle against hate, no matter how much bad there is, love will make it better!

12. This one is self explanatory, but why would you want to be mean, when instead you could be meaningful? There is more value and appreciation in being meaningful!

13. The world isn't all bad, we have you and me AND CUPCAKES!

14. Surround yourself with people who make you happy and people who reassure you that you're a wonderful person. Those are the best people to befriend!

15. Major Key.

16. Selflessness over selfishness all day everyday!

17. Dream big, dream without limits. You're the only one limiting yourself. What is the harm of a big dream, big goals? There's nothing wrong with that!

18. Don't forget that you're not expected to be perfect, you're perfectly fine as is, mistakes and all.

19. Don't try to be better than anyone but you.

20. Not all heroes wear capes.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
