13 Quotes I Live By To Stay Focused In Different Situations

In This Article:

I love quotes. They're like little nuggets of wisdom that give you the answer for any doubts, fears, or questions you might be having at a given time. Sometimes, I may even come across a quote that I've known for years but today it means something different. Or today, I know it to be true rather than just believe it to be true. That's why I thought I'd share some of the quotes that keep me focused and motivated. These are the words that I turn to when I need that pick-me-up or even just a refresher on how to look at life.

"It's easier to keep up than to catch up." - Gretchen Rubin

When everything feels like too much:

"Within you is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself." - Hermann Hesse

When morale is low:

"Make your faith larger than your fears and your dreams larger than your doubts." Robin Sharma

When I didn't finish the things on my to-do list:

"People overestimate what they can do in a single day. And underestimate what they can do in their whole lives." - Unknown

When I need to think positively:

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of.
