A Quote That Inspires Me To Chase My Dreams
We Heart it

My laptop is literally like Hoarders: Buried Alive;

I think I can call myself a bit of a hoarder in that aspect because I've had my current laptop since I was a freshman in college (I'm currently a senior), and I've collected a fair share of files. I was cleaning my files on my laptops like old papers and such and I stumbled across a piece of writing from like 5 years ago. I mean I was like 16 about five years ago so how that got on my laptop is a complete mystery to me to this very day.

I assumed by the quote on top of the writing was what inspired to write this short inquistive piece. But it's not just the quote that just inspired me recently, it's what I wrote underneath the quote. In a way, it's a short story but in other ways it's just something to think about when you're out there making big life decisions.

I'm pretty sure i'll be using this whenever I need some sort of insight. I'll have to hand it to myself I was actually pretty wise.

"Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them?"

- Rose Kennedy

Did you know after a storm that birds sing? Each bird has a different rhythmic tune to sing and every song has a different meaning that makes it special. Perhaps humans should have their own little song to sing after a storm like a carefree bird.

But humans aren't like birds. We as humans are tethered down to something that holds us back from doing what we really want to pursue in life. Birds are free to do as they please. Nothing holds them back from doing what they want. What holds us back from doing that one thing to make us truly happy?

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
