Don't be afraid to walk away from dreams for a little while. So give up you ask??? Never..

For a while now, I've been dreaming of what it would be like to be Miss Connecticut. I've worked hard and put in my dues to what it takes to compete in the Miss America organization. I have multiple opportunities to earn a local crown, too! But sometimes when you think you should keep trying, another door opens. I can remember pretending being a teacher when I was little. I would teach my dolls and stuffed animals my homework on my white board in my playroom. I've volunteered for countless years in classrooms and have even enjoyed being an assistant teacher in a daycare.

Sometimes two dreams can work at the same time. And sometimes they can't. And that is okay. It's okay to put a passion on hold to reach a goal you've been pushing for your whole life. Does this mean the other dream gets buried in the sand? Not necessarily. Sometimes we need to weigh out options and do what needs to be done first. If time permits and circumstances are well, both can be done at the same time, eventually. Don't ever quit your day dream, even if there are two!
