14 Ways 'Friends' Describes Your Freshman Year Of College

Everyone, literally everyone, has seen at least one episode of "Friends." Let's be real, if you stopped at just one episode you should probably reevaluate your life. "Friends" is absolutely hysterical and 100 percent relatable.

Here are 14 ways friends accurately describes your freshman year of college.

1. Meeting your roommate for the first time.

Even though we're told not to, we looked up our freshman year roommates on Facebook. You talked all summer about planning what the room is going to look like, and once you get to school you feel like you're already best friends.

2. Overpacking.

As a freshman, you always overpack because you never know what you're going to need throughout the year. It's not until you start packing to go home for the summer do you realize you have things you never even wore.

3. Freshman 15.

You don't realize it, but you literally eat everything, at least until you realize how disgusting most college food is. Between cafe food and ordering Domino's on Saturday nights, the freshman 15 becomes the freshman 30.

4. F**kboys

96 percent of freshman boys are only after one thing – "watch Netflix and chill." Give them a break, though, they're still in their teeny bopper high school phase. Hopefully by sophomore year, they get the idea that is not how you treat women.

5. First time at Toad's.

As a freshman, it's definitely the "cool" thing to go to a club. When you walk in the first time, you basically want to cry because what did you just get yourself into? After the initial shock, you start to have fun but that first moment is something that you'll try to forget but will never be able to.

6. Older college boys

As a freshman, you're a little scared of the upperclassmen, so naturally you just look from afar. The hot senior guys always make you swoon.

7. Dorm parties.

If you want to stay in and relax, maybe watch a little Netflix on a Saturday night instead of going out. The problem arises when the people next to, below or above you decide to throw a party. You're a little ticked because you wanted a quiet night in, so you sit there in your bed contemplating whether or not you should get your RA or just suck it up and turn your volume up louder.

8. 8 a.m. Classes

A rookie mistake is taking an 8 a.m. class. They're hell. You get to your 8 a.m. on the first day of classes and you're already kicking yourself in the ass because you know it was a terrible decision and on top of that, your professor is boring AF.

9. The morning after.

Waking up the morning after a wild night out is terrible. You most likely have a hangover, and you feel like death. You grab your phone, and you look through all the drunken pictures from the night before, but you know you had a great time so you don't even care that you were ratchet as hell.

10. Underestimating the difficulty of your classes.

The jump from high school to college is one most freshman aren't prepared for. College makes high school look like an elementary school. Before you know it, you're up at 3 a.m. writing a 15-page paper that's due the next day. You're so exhausted you don't even know if what you're writing is real English.

11. Trying to talk to hot college guys.

When you eventually find the courage to walk up to a hot guy and you have no idea what to do.

12. Finals Week.

Finals week is basically hell on earth. You feel like you're going to explode from studying so much. You start to go a little insane, and then you just sort of give up and go full on mental.

13. Your roommate has all of their friends over.

Having people constantly in and out of your room when they're not your friends can get very annoying very quickly. It's one of the things you either have to suck up or talk to your roommate about. Or you could just be a sarcastic a**hole to all of them to get the message across.

14. When the school year comes to an end.

It's a bittersweet time because you can't wait to get home and see your friends and family, but you also don't want to leave because you've actually grown to like your school and your friends there. It's one of those things where you'll miss your friends, but you literally just want to go home. It's a mix of feelings as you leave.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
