Every year, without fail, I seem to forget one or two holiday gifts when it's way too late to head out and go shopping again.

Here is my go-to list of last-minute gifts that has saved me every holiday season.

1. Gift Cards

Just buy an online gift card from their favorite store and print out the confirmation. Or keep a pack of gift cards to your favorite store with you and if you have any left at the end of the day they're your gift to yourself.

2. Any monthly delivery service

This one will make it look like you planned it. Any subscriptions for the holidays would likely start in January and will continue to deliver gifts monthly for an allotted period of time. Find one that they like and just print out the order details.

3. Name a star after them

This is honestly a thoughtful gift awesome gift and they won't care if they find out it was last minute.

4. Make something

If you have a creative side and can make a personalized gift in less than a day, props to you.

5. Make a donation in their name

For the ones in your life who will use their birthday to collect for a charity or a cause or spend their time volunteering in their community - this would be perfect.

If all else fails the classic "it's in the mail," while searching gifts on your phone under the table is a time-proven cop out.
