Quick 5-7 Minute Morning Makeup Routine

I am a lover of all things make-up. I think that make-up is a clever and easy way to express yourself. Now I know not everyone has two hours to complete their morning beauty routine like the Kardashian sisters, but I'd guess everyone has ten minutes here and there to spare.

For an everyday look: Takes about five-seven minutes

1. Start off with a primer. Primers will keep your foundation and everything else you put on your face from melting off or rubbing off during the day. There are primers for every skin type, oily, dry, color correcting, pore reducing. My best advice is to try a few different kinds and see what works best for your skin type.

2. Next is foundation. Ladies (and gentlemen) it is key to get the right shade of foundation. So please before you buy it, ask a beauty technician to try it out on your skin first. Now if you are buying your foundation where you can't try it first, match the color to your jaw line. Depending on how full coverage you want there are a variety of products to meet your everyday needs from a light BB cream to a full coverage liquid.

3. In my opinion concealer is a must, by putting just a little under the eyes you can go from looking like you pulled an all nighter to a full eight hours of beauty sleep. Also you can use concealer on any blemishes or places where you need a little more coverage.

4. SET YOUR FACE! This is so important to keep your makeup looking fresh and shine and crease free. All you need is some loose translucent powder to brush over the entire face.

5. I am a firm believer in using bronzer or a little bit of contouring on a regular basis. Just brushing a little bit of bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks and temples will give your face more dimension and in my opinion pizzazz. I'm not saying do a full face contour Kardashian style, a little bit goes a long way.

6. Brows are an important part of your makeup routine. I really like to go with a full filled in brow. Brow pencils are a really easy way to get a little more volume with out going to crazy. If you are a little more experience, using a powder or gel brow kit and brush to fill in your brows makes the day's makeup look sharp and finished.

7. Now if you are really in a pinch just skip this step and go straight to step 8. In my opinion eye shadow and eye liner are the best way to make your look unique and express yourself. Whether you are a tan and brown eye shadow girl or a glittery blue eye shadow girl, just rock your style. For liner I like a nice winged look, the size of the wing usually reflects the level of sass that day or how many times I messed up that day.

8. A good mascara is a girl's best friend. A good reminder is to never use mascara for more than three-six months.

9. What ever you put on your lips, lip gloss, lip stick or whatever be sure to moisturize and use a lip scrub often to keep your lips soft and even.

Hope you enjoyed this explanation of a quick morning makeup routine. Makeup is my passion, and I realize that it's not for everyone, but love to share some of my best and most helpful tips.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
