15 Questions That Hurt My Brain

There are things in life that everyone says they "just don't understand." For example, men "just don't understand" women and the way they act. Or perhaps we all "just don't understand" how the politicians that were elected by us don't do what they promised and end up sucking in the long run. But these are the types of things we logically can think about and can come up with reasons to help us further understand them. However, there is a batch of things I just cannot, under any circumstances, understand, and, if trying too hard, it may make your brain hurt. So here is a list of questions that continue to stay mind blowing to me, even though there may be a very good explanation for them.

1. How can a camera trap the light around you and put a picture of you inside a little box?

2. How is the United States so huge and there are roads to literally everywhere?

3. How are all those roads connected, and who the heck took the time to plan all that out?

4. How can eyeballs see things?

5. Where is the hair that grows out of your head stored? And is there just a ton of hair sitting on top of my brain?

6. Where does fat go when you lose it?

7. FaceTiming. I don't even know.

8. When the world decided money would be a thing, how did they decide how much everybody gets to start out with?

9. How weird is it that I can see your face, but you can't see your face, and I'll never see my face?

10. How are planes so heavy and full of people but can stay in the sky like a bird.

11. Going along with the bird thing, if birds have muscles, do their wings get sore from flapping around all the time?

12. Who did put the ram in the rama lama ding dong?

13. Are humans the only ones who can talk, or do dogs just think we're barking too?

14. Who got to name everything? And why did they get to do it?

15. Most importantly, does anyone know the answers to these questions?

April Ludgate

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
