11 Questions Everyone Has theĀ  First Week of November

Somehow we managed to make it to the 11th month of the year. I'm not sure quite how we got here or what the month will hold. What I do know is that I am amazed at how fast time is passing.

1. Where did the year go?

I know that everyone says that time passes in the blink of an eye, but this year was just ridiculous. I'm pretty sure last month was like July?? Thanksgiving... Christmas is almost here... Then New Years...

2. How many days until Thanksgiving?

It's been a while since the last time I've had a meal that took longer than 5 minutes to make or wasn't concocted from random ingredients I have around my house. Thanksgiving sounds pretty good right around now. Mainly because I get to sleep in and then eat and then nap. The perfect day.

3. How many days until Christmas?

Okay, it might seem far away now, but it will be here before you know it! It's the most wonderful time of the year...

4. How much food can my body consume in one day?

After what seems like a year of eating one "meal" a day, we finally get that one meal that is worth waiting all year for. Not to mention, you can eat as much as you want.

5. Should I start working out before or after Thanksgiving?

It's a lose-lose either way the day of. If you triple the number of calories that you normally eat in a day, I think it will be totally fine. So if your Thanksgiving meal looks anything like mine, plan on working out before AND after.

6. Wait. There are how many weeks left in the semester?

Not enough, I know the last thing you want to do while home for break is homework... so maybe just look at what you have due the day you get back the day before you get back. Finals are scary and they are coming in hot.

7. Where did all of my money go?

Honestly, I ask myself the same thing every day. Picking up a few extra shifts before the holiday shifts might be a good idea so that you're not completely broke this winter.

8. Who has the best sales this year for Black Friday?

Everyone. Look online. Check out blogs. Talk to your friends. Save money and still get everyone what they want. Also, don't forget about Cyber Monday.

9. How long is Thanksgiving Break?

Not long enough, before you know it, the long weekend is over and it's time to go back to normal. Appreciate the time you have with your family and relax while the time is still here.

10. When are elections this year?

NOVEMBER 6TH. Make your opinions heard and get out and vote. Vote early or get an absentee ballot or go in person. It doesn't matter. JUST. DO. IT.

11. Why is it so cold?

It's winter. You could have lived anywhere and you chose here. That is why.

Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

In the 12 years since it went off the air, "Friends" continues to be adored by millions. 11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
