Throughout the show, the viewers see the agents training at the FBI Academy: the intelligence and experience the agents gain, the relationships and bonds they form as well as the adversaries and tensions, Quantico, Virginia manifests from their different and sometimes clashing perspectives turns them from everyday civilians to elite FBI agents.
And after a bomb is set off in New York, in which Parrish is framed for, their worlds turn upside down deciding who they can trust and who they cannot.
Season One ended with Parrish having to make a choice between answering Booth’s call or accepting a job offer that “expires as soon as you step out of the car” by a man named Matthew Keyes for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Season Two kicks right up after that. Series creator and show producer Joshua Safran had few words to say.
“Season 1 was this you’re-on-the-run, fugitive thing, which is how it began, which is meant to be heart-pounding and fast, something that happened very quickly,” he told TV Line in an interview. “We took our energy from that. Season 2 is structured a little bit slower. I’m not going to say what it is, but the nature of the event is slower and unfolding as opposed to explosive. We’re just going to take our energy from that.”
The new season airs at its usual time, 10 p.m. on Sunday and kicks back up officially Sept. 25.
