10 Qualities To Look For In A Godly Man

A Godly man is more than a male Christian. A Godly man is one with integrity and lives fully by the word of God, all while encouraging others to trust in our Lord. Today, many adults use sources of media and other forms of communication, searching for the "perfect" man. Taking the word of the Lord, in the Bible, will become the best dating guide. Love a man who loves Jesus. A man who walks with our Lord, and puts Him first, will help grow a strong relationship.

1. Someone who walks with the Lord.

The most important characteristic to know about a Godly man, is that he walks with the Lord. He will continue to want to walk with Him and grow with Him. Having a man who will put God first, above all, is such a special quality to obtain. Having someone in your life, whom isn't a believer, can be very painful when coming across different obstacles throughout life. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them." Women need a strong and loving Christian man, who will be with us, as we walk with the Lord throughout our journey.

2. A Gentleman.

A Godly man is going to treat you the way you deserve to be treated. He won't make you feel like you aren't capable of your dreams, goals, and desires. He will have manners, he will help you when you are down, and he will be well-spoken. He will not take you for granted, and will hold your hand through God's plan for you.

3. A Man of Prayer.

A Godly man will know the importance of prayer and will focus on prayer every day. He will pray before meals, when he is struggling, when he thankful, and when he lays his head to sleep. An important key in a man is that he will pray with you, and for you.

4. Forgiving.

It sure does take a strong person to say sorry, but an even stronger person to forgive. A man who is forgiving for not just your actions, but for what occurs in life, in so inspiring and sentimental. Being forgiving is something that you should highly look for in any person.

5. Loyalty.

Being loyal means being faithful to the promises and words of the Bible. A man who is loyal will be committed to his relationship with you and Jesus. Scripture tells us that even if we are faithful, He remains faithful. If a man is loyal, he will make sure that you are protected- physically and emotionally.

6. Generosity.

A generous man is one who always goes out of his way for you, and does things for you. A generous man will not only give presents, but will also show generosity through his actions. He will always let you cry to him when you are sad and will give you his attention.

7. Trusts the Lord.

Trusting our Lord's plan is a very important value throughout life. A man who trusts the Lord's timing and plan will show that he is very strong and committed to our Lord. No matter what obstacles he faces, he will never give up and will trust the Lord. He will remind you that everything happens for a reason, and that everything is apart of His plan for you.

8. Humble.

A humble man will admit when he is wrong and will be very modest. Throughout the bible, the Lord instructs us about the benefits of being "humble-minded." In James 4:6. It says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble". This verse is very important because it states that our Lord helps those whom are humble. Being humble also means being a happy person and can take joy in their life.

9. Kind to Neighbors.

It is beautiful when a man is kind to you and shows your the love he has for you, but what is beyond special, is a man who is kind to others. A man who simply goes out of his way, to be kind to those he may not know, is shown throughout the Bible. Romans 15:2 says, "Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up."

10. Loving.

A man who loves Jesus will respect you, pursue you, pray for you and with you. He will not try to control you, he will walk beside you and guide you. Love a man who knows that God is the best foundation within your relationship. If a man isn't following God, then he isn't fit to lead. If he doesn't have a loving relationship with God, then he doesn't know what real love is.
