FINDING YOUR PURPOSE
WPEC

The two greatest days in a person's life are the day they are born and the day they discover why. On Wednesday, August 2, 2017, I will turn 52 and I have found my purpose and that is to help those touched by cancer by utilizing all my business endeavors as a platform to do so. In the quest to be of service and value to others I have found that many people have yet to discover their purpose and thus they are caught in the cycle of paid on Friday broke on Monday. The fact is that everyone caught in this cycle can change this by simply finding a purpose and take action to follow their purpose remembering that passion +action = success. In taking action and living a life on purpose you will begin to see that you attract more peace, love, joy, and prosperity into your life. In business, if you make an effort to do things that resonate with your purpose you will see that you find more bliss and abundance in your personal life as a result. If you start to detach from outcomes and follow your heart guided by purpose you will find that things flow effortlessly for you as you tap into your inner divinity because you are living life on purpose.

One of the tools that have helped me to find my purpose and to stay focused, centered, and grounded is The Jaycee Creed. Imagine if we all began to live our lives with these 65 words every day working toward the common goal of shining our light and illuminating the world. Think about if you stopped worrying about that which you have no control over and started to take action toward goals that would enhance your personal, professional, and spiritual life. So many times we get caught up in majoring in the minor that we lose site of the big picture. When you find yourself straying from your purpose take a breath get back on track and remember that you were born for a reason and now is your time to awaken and discover that reason.

In finding your purpose and being your authentic self you will discover that you are capable of more than you ever thought you were. In taking action to follow your passion working with a purpose you will see that great things will happen.

Today is the day for you to begin to live a life of purpose and watch what develops. I have personally experienced many great outcomes because I took action and worked toward a goal that was tied to my purpose. I recently came across some books and I decided to sell them with 50% from each sale going to support The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise. As I began to market the books and mention that 50% was being donated to The 2018 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Sunrise I received offers and moved some books. Another example of living a life of purpose comes from my friend Jeff Cash as he and I met about 8 weeks ago to discuss how he could utilize his art to help those touched by cancer. As a result ART FOR THE CURE was launched, www.artforthecure.net. The examples of how living a life of purpose are endless. Look around you and find a way to live your life on purpose.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
