I like to roll the windows down and turn up the radio on most days but after hearing the same ten songs over and over again, I like to mix it up a little bit.

Here's the perfect punk playlist to blast while driving to the beach with your friends that will have you chucking all your stress and responsibilities from the school year out the window and onto the turnpike.

1. "Dizzy on the Comedown" - Turnover

With Austin Getz's light and airy voice, Turnover will transport you to your own little dreamland that will have you calmly swaying back and forth getting you into the ultimate chill beach day attitude. This tune is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, even if you are sitting in beach day traffic.

2. "Parking Lots" - Light Years

You haven't heard a band like this since Blink 182 was in their prime. This band and this song leave you wanting more and more. Thankfully they have three albums on Spotify you'll want to jam to after listening to this hit.

3. "No Blood, No Foul" - With the Punches

Early 2000s pop punk comes back to haunt you with this track that leaves you wanting to spend all night out driving and laughing with your best friends parking somewhere sweet to watch the sunrise overheard.

4. "Second to Right" - Transit

A song about love and letting go and getting lost up in the starry night sky.

5. "Live Together, Die Alone" - Keep Flying

To keep it simple, Keep Flying is sick. This song focuses on letting go of what once was to make room for bigger and better things to come.

6. "Lula on the Beach" - Seaway

Canadian band Seaway put out their LP "Vacation" fall 2017, and I was so disappointed, not because the album is bad (it was my album of the year in 2017!!!), but because the whole thing could have been my summer anthem if it had only come out four months earlier!

7. "Heart Tattoo" - Joyce Manor

This tune will have you reminiscing about all of the awesome summer nights of the past and leave you filled with joy and anticipation for all the new summer memories that are soon to be made.

8. "Grand Finale" - The Front Bottoms

If you're like me, you'll have this song on repeat and still never become tired of it. If you happen to see a girl screaming these lyrics out of her sunroof on the Garden State Parkway, there's a 110% chance that it's me.

9. "Timberwolves At New Jersey" - Taking Back Sunday

Let's be real here, guys, it was never a competition between TBS and Brand New because TBS was always the best. Blast this and finger point at your windshield along with the best band the pop punk scene has ever seen.

10. "Work in Progress" - Set Your Goals

Summer is all about bettering yourself, right? The better body, the better attitude, the better bank account. Yeah we know, it's hard to actually achieve any of these goals. But the ending to this playlist ties all of these songs and all of your goals and feelings together. It's a helpful reminder to keep your head on straight and to just take it all one day at a time.

There are plenty more tunes that didn't make this list but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get out there and keep on searching. Meanwhile, you can find me out there on the Parkway stuck in Jersey traffic jamming out to these songs and so many more. After all the summer time just wouldn't be complete without the ultimate playlist.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
